The Uffizi

The greatest art gallery on the world. Don't attempt to see everything, there's just too much, but what you will see is overwhelming.

Definitely worth booking in advance, and have a look at the Uffizi book in Castagni before you go.

The Duomo

Officially called Santa Maria del Fiore, but universally referred to as the duomo, Brunelleschi's masterpiece dominates the skyline from every angle.

Usually free to enter, don't be caught by scams!

The Accademia

Though mostly famous for the greatest piece of carving in the history of art, there are many other treasures to see here.

Again please only book tickets through the official website.

The Central Market

This was the main meat market for Florence, but now is a selection of eateries much used by locals.

Generally good value and fun.
